Launch Webspace and Exhibition

Myvillages celebrates the digital start of Rural School of Economics at Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam.

With messages from the villages of Pushkino (Russia) and Zburazh (Belarus). An evening together with partners and friends, sharing the question of access to cultural means and cultural (re-)production.

Sandra Fauconnier, Kathrin Böhm and Harry Blackett from An Endless Supply are introducing the new webspace. We see how Sveta Husakova portraited the textile designs by women who prefer to be called “babas” from the village of Zburazh in Belarus. Youngsters from Pushkino in the Tver Region in Russia reflect with Anastasia Kamienska and Georgy Nikich on the Pushkino_Style School. Can all those images be read with eyes conditioned by the Western European experience? Franciska Zólyom, Charles Esche, Alina Dzeravianka and Indra Gleizde respond. The evening is hosted by Wapke Feenstra and Charly Blödel.

The exhibition is open from 3 February till 27 March 2022 .
