Rural Relations Writing workshop and audiotour by Ioana Lupascu
Ioana Lupascu has been organizing the Rural Relations Writing Club at Boerenzij this year, and she offered to organize one of the guided writing workshops on the theme “Visitors: Those Who Come and Go.”

Bianca Orboi wanted to share about the workshop:
The workshop explored the rhythms of arrival and departure—how visitors shape the spaces they enter, how we host or guard, and what movements tell us about belonging, care, and boundaries.
For me, it helped me to reflect on my position as someone trying to reconnect with the land on which my parents were born, and to consider where my place is and how I belong. The result of this reflection is this poem. Thank you, Ioana, for running such a beautifully curated workshop.
Places of Belonging
Am I a visitor to a place I have the right to belong?
Where is a place of belonging?
Do we belong?
Who has the rights?
Are these rights connected to roots?
Where are my roots?
But this is the place.
A place with my roots.
